Rehabilitation Counsellor or Provisional Psychologist

About the role

Altius Group, a rehabilitation services provider founded in 2001, is hiring a Rehabilitation Counsellor or Provisional Psychologist for its Rehabilitation Services team in Orange, NSW. The role identifies and addresses the physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors affecting a worker's ability to return to work, and provides practical strategies to address them.

Key responsibilities

• Complete return-to-work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme.
• Provide holistic support to restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through assessments such as Initial Needs Assessment, Workplace Assessments and Vocational Assessments.
• Deliver vocational counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training and upskilling.
• Collaborate and liaise with individuals, employers, medical and other allied health professionals.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Provisional Psychologist (5+1 or 4+2 internship) supported by a relevant psychology qualification, or ASORC membership as a Rehabilitation Counsellor supported by a relevant qualification in psychology or rehabilitation counselling.
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Current police clearance and Working with Children Check.
• Full working rights in Australia.
