Registered Nurse - GEM/Rehabilitation Ward

About the role

Mercy Health Albury is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its 20-bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) and Rehabilitation Unit, a specialist subacute inpatient service supporting older adults to recover from illness, improve function, maintain independence and return safely to the community. The position is permanent full-time and part-time, on rotating roster shifts of up to 80 hours per fortnight.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside a Geriatrician, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers and Pastoral Care staff to deliver person-centred care.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current immunisation status in line with NSW Health requirements (Category A position)
• Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Desirable: experience in rehabilitation, subacute, aged care or GEM nursing
• Evidence of, or progress toward, a current Police Record Check
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders
