Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Darwin, NT)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects for a well‑established builder in Darwin, NT. You will be responsible for delivering projects from contract award through to practical completion and handover, ensuring safety, quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from award to defects liability period, overseeing budgets, schedules and cost‑to‑complete reporting.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and consultants, and conduct regular project meetings and toolbox talks.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, forecasts and procurement plans, and administer contracts, purchase orders and documentation.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with WHS, quality, environmental and company standards.
• Maintain client relationships, act as primary contact and manage project close‑out activities including defects, manuals and warranties.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, delivering Design & Construct projects valued $500 k–$20 M.
• Trade qualification (carpentry preferred) or a Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or related field.
• Current White Card and driver’s licence.
• Strong contract administration, commercial management and stakeholder communication abilities.

• Proficiency with project management and reporting software.
