Project Coordinator – Student Accommodation Refurbishment

About the role

Greystar is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution and completion of major refurbishment works across two purpose‑built student accommodation assets in Adelaide, South Australia. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance and pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Keep two live Adelaide refurbishment projects on track by overseeing the head contractor’s delivery against specifications and timelines, and flagging issues early.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections, coordinating with the contractor to sequence works around residents and building operations.
• Serve as the connective tissue between the contractor, Greystar’s Construction & Development team, Operations, and residents, ensuring clear communication and safety standards.
• Own reporting responsibilities, including progress updates, quality reports and monthly/quarterly reports for internal stakeholders and capital partners.
• Support procurement of client‑supplied materials and FF&E and help drive smooth project and unit handovers with Operations and Asset Management.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and genuinely curious about how buildings are built and managed.
• A qualification (or working towards one) in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Early experience in a graduate programme, Project Coordination or Assistant PM role – recent graduates are especially encouraged to apply.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build trust with contractors, internal teams and residents.
• Comfort juggling a fast‑moving project using industry tools; live‑environment experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
