Operations Manager - Five-Star Hotel

About the role

Pullman Cairns International, a five-star hotel in Cairns with 324 rooms, premium dining and conference facilities, is looking for an experienced hotel leader to become its Operations Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, the role connects hotel strategy with day-to-day execution and works closely with department leaders to deliver the Pullman brand promise. Relocation support is available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible, hands-on leadership and partner with department leaders to create seamless guest journeys and uphold Pullman service standards
• Use guest feedback and operational data to improve the guest experience and lead effective guest recovery
• Support VIPs, groups and events, and help the General Manager drive commercial outcomes, productivity, profitability, revenue and cost management
• Contribute to business planning, forecasting and performance improvement
• Champion Accor Live Limitless (ALL) and Pullman brand standards, recognising loyalty members
• Coach department leaders, support succession planning and build a culture of accountability and collaboration
• Maintain operational standards, safety, risk management and audit compliance, and represent the General Manager when required

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a full-service, premium or luxury hotel
• Ability to influence across multiple departments and coach high-performing teams
• Strong business acumen and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full Australian working rights required

Required skills

• Experience using hotel systems such as Opera Cloud is highly regarded
• Understanding of guest experience, operational performance and commercial outcomes
