Operational Resilience Manager

About the role

The Operational Resilience Manager supports the Material Risk Owner and CPS 230 delegates in delivering business continuity and crisis management under ANZ's Operational Risk Framework. The role provides strategic and tactical leadership to enhance organisational resilience and mitigate disruption risks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to uplift the Operational Risk Framework, focusing on business continuity and crisis management systems, plans, processes, tooling and remediation of control gaps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evolve crisis frameworks, design testing aligned with regulatory and environmental changes, and assess the quality and alignment of crisis plans.
• Develop, maintain and promote group policies for business continuity and crisis management.
• Create and sustain tools that enable implementation of business continuity and crisis management in line with approved policies.
• Monitor division and business‑unit compliance with policies through regular discussions, reviews and testing activities.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and guidance on business continuity issues, including treatment plans, strategies, testing, risk management and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational risk, business continuity and crisis management within a large financial institution.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior leaders across the group.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for business continuity and crisis management.
