Middle Years Teacher

About the role

Jack River School is seeking two dedicated Middle Years Teachers to join our Nursery to Grade 8 community. The successful candidates will begin on September 8, 2026, teaching middle‑year students in a vibrant northern Manitoba setting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction for middle‑year curricula in accordance with Manitoba provincial standards.
• Integrate school‑based technology into daily lessons to enhance student learning.
• Maintain effective classroom management and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community members, including Indigenous partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility).
• Knowledge of provincial curricula and prior teaching experience.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Familiarity with school‑based technology.
• Understanding of Indigenous ways of life and experience in northern communities (considered assets).
