Mid-Level Interior Designer - Commercial Design

About the role

An innovative design studio in the Lower North Shore of Sydney is looking for a mid-level Interior Designer to create inspiring workplaces that reflect company culture and support staff well-being. You will work on dynamic projects from initial concept through to completion, shaping environments by working directly with clients and a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Work on workplace and commercial interior projects from concept development to final delivery, ensuring design integrity at every stage.
• Develop space plans, furniture layouts, material selections and finish schedules.
• Turn client business objectives into design strategies and detailed project briefs.
• Prepare and manage detailed documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and team members.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience designing local workplace and commercial interiors, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Clear conceptual thinking and well-developed opinions on spatial design, materials and user experience.
• Strong presentation and client-engagement skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a good understanding of documentation standards, codes and compliance procedures.
• Experience with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design ideas visually.
