Microsoft Windows 365 Senior Engineer – Modern Workplace

About the role

Join Avanade’s Modern Workplace team to design and deliver secure, enterprise‑scale solutions on Microsoft’s cloud platform. As a Windows 365 Senior Engineer you will help clients modernise and protect their end‑user computing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and support Windows 365 Cloud PC solutions, including migrations from VDI, Citrix, VMware and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Intune architectures, device compliance, configuration profiles and Conditional Access.
• Configure Microsoft Entra ID integrations, Zero Trust controls and identity governance.
• Maintain secure Windows 11 Standard Operating Environments, security baselines and evergreen upgrade programs.
• Package and deploy enterprise applications using Win32, MSI, EXE and PowerShell methods.
• Implement endpoint security controls aligned with ASD Essential Eight, ISM and Zero Trust principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years delivering modern endpoint management, Windows engineering and cloud desktop solutions.
• Experience working with enterprise, government or highly regulated clients in consultancy or managed‑services settings.
• Australian citizenship (security clearance highly regarded).

Required skills

• Windows 365 Cloud PC, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Autopilot.
• Windows 11 SOE deployment, application packaging (Win32, MSI, EXE, PowerShell).
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, PowerShell scripting.
• Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, VMware, MECM/SCCM migration experience.
• Conditional Access, Zero Trust, ASD Essential Eight and ISM security controls.
