About the role
Arc'teryx is seeking a commercially‑minded Merchandise Planner to shape its Direct‑to‑Consumer (DTC) business across Australia and New Zealand. You will be a key stakeholder in the seasonal Go‑to‑Market process, balancing brand storytelling with commercial performance.
Key responsibilities
- Build and execute guest‑focused assortments for Retail and eCommerce channels.
- Develop financial and visual seasonal assortment plans aligned to commercial targets.
- Support seasonal forecasting and buy planning across assigned categories.
- Analyse consumer trends, local market insights and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
- Drive assortment optimisation, seasonal flow and store capacity planning.
- Partner with HQ and local teams to ensure assortments meet channel and guest needs.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Brand, Retail, eCommerce, Marketing, Demand Planning, Allocations and Supply Chain.
- Monitor product lifecycle performance to optimise sales, margin and sell‑through.
- Deliver detailed reporting and analysis on category and product performance.
- Utilise historical and current sales data to forecast inventory and in‑season trading performance.
- Support monthly and seasonal product launches and take decisive action to improve sell‑through.
Required profile
- 2+ years’ experience in merchandise planning or buying within DTC or wholesale channels.
- Proven experience in local merchandise planning for women’s apparel.
- Strong understanding of merchandise planning processes, forecasting and inventory management.
- Advanced analytical abilities and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in apparel, footwear, outdoor or sporting goods is highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related discipline preferred.

- Advanced Excel proficiency.
