Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Design (Adelaide)

About the role

TMK Consulting Engineers is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Building Services team in Adelaide. You will design and coordinate heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems for a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
• Produce engineering documentation, including drawings, reports, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute technical expertise.
• Manage deliverables across multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines.
• Support sustainable and energy‑efficient building design initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Approximately 2–3 years of experience in building services.
• Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, Australian construction standards, and energy‑efficiency requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and good organisational skills.
• Team‑oriented with a collaborative approach.
• Based in Adelaide.
