Mechanical Engineer – Healthcare & Biopharma

About the role

Invetech is seeking Mechanical Engineers and Senior Mechanical Engineers to design and develop robust mechanical solutions for complex electro‑mechanical products used in healthcare and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The roles are full‑time, 12‑month contracts, offering the chance to work on cutting‑edge equipment in cleanroom and cGMP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for electro‑mechanical healthcare equipment.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to ensure manufacturable, high‑quality designs.
• Build prototypes, plan and execute verification and validation testing.
• At senior level, lead technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and support transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Required profile

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience for Mechanical Engineer role; 6+ years for Senior role.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with equipment for cleanroom and cGMP environments is highly regarded.
• Engineering registration is desirable.

Required skills

• CAD design (SolidWorks preferred).
• Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Mechanical design and prototype development.
• Verification and validation testing.
• Cleanroom equipment design.
