Mechanical Engineer – EPC Energy Projects

About the role

Clarke Energy, part of Rehlko, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Engineering team in Thebarton. Reporting to the Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical design activities across multiple EPC projects, supporting the full project lifecycle from tendering to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering and drafting resources across multiple EPC projects.
• Prepare and review mechanical designs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Support tender development through design input, estimating and technical evaluation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage procurement activities for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Support construction, commissioning and testing activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach, mentor and develop engineering and drafting personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
• Experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions within EPC, industrial or energy infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, procurement, construction and commissioning processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, organisational and project management skills.
• Professional engineering registration (CPEng, NER or RPEQ) is highly regarded.
