Materials Technical Assistant – Alkimos Sea Water Alliance

About the role

The Materials Technical Assistant will support warehousing, logistics and material handling activities for the Alkimos Sea Water Alliance project. Reporting to the site supervisor, you will ensure safe loading and unloading of plant equipment, manage material flow, and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Operate authorised plant safely, including loading and unloading of vehicles, containers and racking.
• Maintain and operate the site materials control system, tracking receipt, storage and issue of all materials and equipment.
• Identify and report material overages, shortages, non‑conformances and damaged items, and coordinate returns.
• Liaise with project personnel to schedule timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Prioritise work tasks flexibly according to project needs.
• Conduct regular audits of indoor and outdoor storage facilities to ensure compliance with vendor and safety requirements.
• Travel to other sites or client facilities as required to support material logistics.
