Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Maintenance Technician to join our newly re‑vamped Ibis Styles Sydney Central hotel. The role is full‑time and focuses on keeping the property, plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance on building systems, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings.
• Ensure all work follows safe working practices and protects hotel assets.
• Maintain a functional, pleasant and safe environment for internal and external customers.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and document actions taken.

Required profile

• Previous experience maintaining hotels or similar fixed‑plant and equipment systems.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, punctual, reliable and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Available to work 38 hours per week on a flexible roster.
