Litigation Consulting Lawyer (Hybrid, Sydney)

About the role

Peerpoint, the legal consulting platform of A&O Shearman, is looking for experienced litigation and dispute‑resolution lawyers to join its panel of consultants. The role is hybrid, based in Sydney, and offers the chance to work on a variety of high‑profile financial services and commercial disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and representation on financial services disputes, regulatory investigations, commercial and banking litigation.
• Lead or contribute to multi‑functional, multi‑national project teams on a contract‑by‑contract basis.
• Engage directly with clients, building strong relationships and delivering high‑quality legal solutions.
• Support in‑house teams or act as a senior manager on regulatory change projects.

Required profile

• Unrestricted right to work and reside in Australia.
• Qualified to practice law in Australia.
• Minimum four years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a top‑tier law firm and/or a leading financial institution.
• Willingness to work as a casual employee or through an Independent Legal Practice.
• Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and ability to operate autonomously.
