About the role

The School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide is seeking a part‑time Lecturer (0.4 FTE) to teach undergraduate courses on Human‑Animal Relationships in Health and Society and Rural Public Health. This continuing position offers the chance to shape curriculum for contemporary learners while contributing to a vibrant academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the two undergraduate courses, each offered in different semesters.
• Develop and update teaching materials, incorporating innovative educational approaches.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students to promote their academic success.
• Collaborate with academic staff to maintain teaching excellence and contribute to research activities aligned with One Health or rural health challenges.

Required profile

• Doctoral or Master’s qualification in public health or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching topics related to human‑animal interaction and rural public health.
• Willingness to adopt or develop innovative teaching methods.
• Ability to work predictably within a stable, team‑oriented environment.
