Lecturer – Early Childhood Education (Casual Academic)

About the role

The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) in partnership with the Education Centre of Australia is launching a new Early Childhood Education program in Adelaide. We are seeking qualified academics to deliver undergraduate courses on a casual basis, supporting both face‑to‑face and online learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, interactive teaching for Bachelor of Education Studies (Early Childhood) subjects.
• Manage the UniSC Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery and assessment.
• Create and maintain an innovative learning environment that meets learning outcomes.
• Identify and support students at risk of failing, coordinating referrals with the Academic Lead and Learning Support Coordinator.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and administrative reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UniSC policies, ESOS Act requirements, and external accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Completion of a PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation.
• Eligibility for registration with the South Australian Teacher Registration Board.
• Strong disciplinary knowledge in Early Childhood Education.
• Relevant teaching experience in higher education.
