Learning and Development Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Senior Manager to lead our enterprise‑wide L&D function. You will shape strategy, optimise the learning operating model and partner with senior leaders to build capability that drives organisational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise L&D strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
• Design, deliver, evaluate and continuously improve the end‑to‑end learning operating model.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify emerging capability needs and create targeted learning solutions.
• Use workforce data, learning analytics and evaluation insights to guide investment decisions and measure impact.
• Provide strategic advice on capability development and workforce readiness to executive stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team of L&D specialists.
• Oversee LMS governance, compliance training and enterprise learning reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an enterprise L&D function in a complex organisation.
• Track record of delivering measurable capability and business outcomes through L&D strategies.
• Strong leadership experience building high‑performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of adult learning principles, leadership development and contemporary learning practices.
• Experience using learning analytics and workforce data to inform decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at executive level.
• Experience managing Learning Management Systems and learning governance.
• Background in government, aviation, transport or safety‑critical environments is a plus.
