Junior Project Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an early‑career professional to join its Program Performance team in Queensland. You will work on a variety of high‑impact infrastructure projects across defence, government, social infrastructure and construction, gaining exposure to all project stages while developing your skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong client partnerships and co‑create tailored solutions.
• Lead and manage design and construction schedules, aligning with client expectations and specifications.
• Deliver projects from concept through handover, overseeing scope, risk, financials and reporting.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Regional Leads and the Program Director to report progress and milestones.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a project management role.
• Experience working across complex stakeholder environments and managing competing priorities.
• Strong documentation, report writing and presentation abilities.
• Capability to assess contractor documentation, including payment, variation claims and extensions of time.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
