Java Developer – Full-time or Contract (Sydney)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our Sydney team on either a permanent or contract basis. The role involves building and maintaining backend services, integrating cloud infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java / Core Java applications using Springboot.
• Implement and support Node.js and Python components where required.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and deploy to AWS services such as S3 and CloudFront.
• Containerise applications using Docker and, where applicable, orchestrate with Kubernetes.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to automated UI testing using Playwright.
• Collaborate on GraphQL API development and ensure code quality through peer reviews.

Required profile

• Valid visa with full working rights in Australia.
• Strong programming background in Java and related technologies.
• Experience with cloud deployment and containerisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
