IT Systems and Network Administrator

About the role

Stowe Australia is looking for a motivated IT Systems and Network Administrator to join its Rydalmere office. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will work hands‑on in a brand‑new environment, supporting both server and network infrastructure across Sydney and Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS, Print and Certificate Services) and perform root‑cause analysis of outages.
• Manage VMware vSphere environment – ESXi hosts, vCenter, VM provisioning, snapshots and patching.
• Maintain Pure Storage solutions and HPE server hardware (iLO, firmware updates).
• Oversee endpoint management using SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot, including co‑management strategy.
• Configure Cisco switching (VLANs, port‑channels, SFP, spanning‑tree) and FortiGate firewalls (policies, VPN, NAT, diagnostics).
• Handle WAN/inter‑site connectivity, DNS/DHCP/IP address management and support VXLAN/EVPN where required.
• Perform security tasks such as firewall rule reviews, MFA enforcement and privileged account controls.
• Act as escalation point for Level 2/3 tickets, monitor system health, maintain documentation and coordinate with vendors.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Attention to detail, proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
