IPP Controls Manager

About the role

Aggreko is seeking a visionary leader to shape its digital and control strategy for IPP Power Solution projects. The role involves overseeing the design, delivery, and integration of industrial control systems within complex power station projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, implementation, and commissioning of PLC/SCADA systems and ensure alignment with project schedules and objectives.
• Coordinate with vendors, controls contractors, and internal engineering teams to manage interfaces, integration, and compliance.
• Prepare and review control system scopes of work, designs, configurations, and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership, manage day‑to‑day contractor interactions, and support vendor selection and evaluation.
• Identify and mitigate control‑system‑related project risks and ensure quality and performance during commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Controls Systems Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of deep industrial controls experience, including PLCs and SACAD platforms.
• Strong commercial experience in vendor selection, relationship management, and project delivery.
• Knowledge of power generation operations, industrial networks, and relevant standards.
• Experience with renewable or hybrid energy projects is advantageous.

Required skills

• PLC programming and SCADA implementation.
• CODESYS and AVEVA PlantSCADA platforms.
• Industrial network protocols and equipment interface knowledge.
• System integration and testing within large‑scale projects.
