Internal Communications Consultant (3‑month contract)

About the role

This urgent 3‑month contract opportunity is with a fast‑growing tech business in Melbourne’s CBD. You will work closely with the Internal Communications Manager and Specialist to deliver day‑to‑day communications and high‑impact projects, including the upcoming 2026/27 strategy launch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage business‑as‑usual and project‑based internal communications.
• Create, review, edit and publish communications and editorial content.
• Draft and produce the weekly CEO communication.
• Provide advisory support to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines.
• Support events and the rollout of the 2026/27 strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in an internal communications role.
• Proven ability to work with C‑suite, GM and other senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Ready to start immediately for a 3‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Strong focus on timely, consistent messaging within brand standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications in journalism, creative writing, copywriting or editing (nice to have).
