HR Advisor – Winery Operations

About the role

Vinarchy is seeking an HR Advisor to work on‑site at Berri Estates, one of the largest winery operations in the Southern Hemisphere. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you will provide practical HR advice and support to leaders and employees across winery, packaging and warehouse functions in a unionised, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on employee and industrial relations matters, including performance, conduct, grievances and investigations.
• Support leaders with enterprise agreement interpretation, consultation processes and union engagement.
• Coach frontline managers on day‑to‑day HR processes and embed consistent, values‑led practices.
• Identify emerging people risks and escalate as needed.
• Assist with organisational change, workforce planning, seasonal and vintage resourcing.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment pipelines and support performance cycles, remuneration reviews and policy implementation.
• Collaborate with Health, Safety & Sustainability teams to strengthen site safety culture.

Required profile

• Experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role, preferably in an operational or unionised setting.
• Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations matters and provide day‑to‑day HR advice.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with frontline leaders.
• Background in manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, agribusiness or similar industries is preferred.
• Tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline is preferred.
