Head of SRE Engineering

About the role

Civica is looking for a senior leader to transform its APAC LiveOps function into a modern Site Reliability Engineering and CloudOps capability. You will shape the operating model, build engineering foundations and move the team toward proactive, automated reliability for citizen‑facing services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition from reactive operations to SRE/CloudOps practices across APAC, collaborating with global LiveOps leadership.
• Define and implement reliability standards, incident response processes, observability, and automation frameworks.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Platform Engineering, Security and Support to improve operational readiness and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Proven leadership in SRE, CloudOps or production operations within a complex technology environment.
• Experience driving technical and cultural transformation toward modern reliability practices.
• Strong people leadership, hiring and coaching abilities.

Required skills

• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog or Grafana.
