Head of Procurement

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to shape and lead our procurement strategy across a growing Australian manufacturing and supply network. Reporting to the CEO and Global Procurement Head, you will be responsible for planning, developing and managing procurement for materials, packaging, utilities, logistics and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design sustainable and competitive sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers and manage long‑term pricing mechanisms.
• Lead supplier performance, contract compliance, governance and provide regular financial, service and quality forecasts.
• Identify margin and order‑value opportunities, drive supply‑chain improvements and supplier development initiatives.
• Set yearly budgets, deliver financial outcomes and report monthly procurement performance.
• Achieve measurable cost reductions while enhancing service levels, flexibility and supplier performance.
• Develop risk‑mitigation strategies and optimise procurement processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing procurement team with clear objectives.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders and the external supply base.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior procurement or supply‑chain leadership, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings, supplier optimisation and commercial outcomes.
• Strong negotiation, tendering and contract‑management expertise.
• Commercially astute with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
