Head of Learning & Organizational Development

About the role

Catholic Early EdCare (CEEC) is seeking an experienced Head of Learning & Organizational Development to lead its People and Culture team on a fixed‑term maternity leave contract. Based in Brisbane, you will shape professional growth, leadership capability and employee experience across more than 135 early education and care services.

Key responsibilities

• Embed and expand CEEC’s leadership development program, including an emerging leaders’ pathway.
• Elevate onboarding and induction to ensure new staff feel connected and set up for success.
• Refresh mandatory training to improve engagement, practicality and knowledge retention.
• Create and manage professional development opportunities such as leadership days and capability‑building programs.
• Support people‑experience initiatives including employee surveys, reward and recognition, health and wellbeing, and connection activities.
• Lead culture, change and inclusion projects, focusing on RAP and DEIB priorities across remote and multi‑site teams.
• Manage LMS capability and use learning and performance insights for continuous improvement.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of the end‑of‑year conference.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading learning, development and organisational change initiatives.
• Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and influence across a dispersed network.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.

Required skills

• Learning Management System (LMS) administration and optimisation.
