Head of Digital Channel, Mobile

About the role

The Head of Digital Channel, Mobile will shape the strategic direction of ANZ Retail's mobile banking experience, ensuring it is seamless, engaging and centred on customer needs. Reporting to the General Manager of Digital Strategy & Platforms, this senior leader will translate enterprise digital strategy into concrete channel outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define the vision, experience principles and long‑term strategy for the mobile banking channel.
• Drive continuous improvement of customer experience, engagement and channel performance using behavioural insights.
• Own performance, resilience and lifecycle management of the mobile banking platform as a critical digital asset.
• Shape platform architecture, promoting simplification, scalability and reuse across the digital ecosystem.
• Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Legal to ensure the platform remains secure, reliable and aligned with strategic priorities.
• Deliver measurable business outcomes such as customer growth, channel migration, engagement uplift and cost‑to‑serve efficiencies.
• Lead governance and prioritisation across value streams, balancing experience, risk and commercial results.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in digital banking or a related financial services environment.
• Strong track record of translating digital strategy into operational channel success.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across product, technology, operations and risk functions.
• Ability to influence and drive change at an enterprise level.
