Handyperson – Maintenance & Repairs (Casual/Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Handyperson to join our team at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa in Broome. The role involves performing basic repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, restaurants, offices and other resort areas on a casual or full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests for room maintenance issues.
• Replace light globes, fixtures and maintain smoke alarms.
• Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as washer and filter replacements, ice‑machine and water‑cooler servicing, and toilet cistern repairs.
• Repair or replace shutters and security screens.
• Relocate existing and new furniture and fittings throughout the property.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workshop, departmental vehicles and carts.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience performing similar maintenance duties.
• Effective communication with resort departments and guests.
• Basic administrative abilities.
• Team‑oriented and proactive work approach.
• Availability for a rotating fortnightly roster that includes weekends and evening shifts.
• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Australian work rights; previous hotel/resort experience is advantageous.
