Grader Operator – Iron Bridge Mine (FIFO)

About the role

Thiess is looking for a motivated Grader Operator to join its Production Mining Team at the Iron Bridge Mine. This FIFO position offers a dynamic environment where you will operate heavy‑duty graders, maintain pit floors, and contribute to safe, efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CAT 16 and CAT 24M graders efficiently, safely and competently.
• Follow Thiess policies, procedures and instructions from the Mining Supervisor.
• Maintain floor levels, minimise dilution and meet design tolerances.
• Maintain stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure smooth material flow.
• Drive and move material to prepare operating areas and roads.
• Uphold high housekeeping standards and complete pre‑start checks.

Required profile

• Strong mining operational experience with a proven ability to maintain pit floors and bunds.
• Sound knowledge of ore mark‑ups and pit configuration.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.

Required skills

• CAT 16 grader operation (3‑5 years experience).
• CAT 24M grader operation (3‑5 years experience).
