General Practitioner – Defence Health Centre

About the role

Serco, through its partnership with Bupa, provides integrated on-base healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel across 45+ locations. This General Practitioner position is based at Kuttabul Health Centre, on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point, which serves a mid-size health centre of up to 4,500 members. The role is civilian, with no Medicare billing, and a fixed-term part-time option is available working Monday and Tuesday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• In an occupational medicine environment, conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre- and post-deployment care, as well as injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• At least two years' GP experience in the last five years in a general practice setting.
• Australian citizenship (baseline security clearance).
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care.
