Food Services Assistant – Monash Gardens

About the role

Royal Freemasons is seeking enthusiastic Food Services Assistants to join the team at Monash Gardens in Mulgrave. In this part‑time or casual role you will help create a pleasant dining experience for older residents, supporting their daily comfort and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean, tidy and well‑presented dining rooms.
• Prepare, plate and serve meals in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
• Ensure each resident receives the correct meal according to dietary and specialised nutritional requirements.
• Provide friendly, high‑quality customer service during meal times.
• Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas, keeping the environment safe and welcoming.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality, food services or aged‑care (preferred but not essential).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliability, good organisational habits and a commitment to hygiene and safety.
• A genuine passion for supporting older people.

Required skills

• Food Handling Certificate.
• Valid Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Ability to follow food safety and hygiene protocols.
