Fitter Boilermaker - Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

About the role

Sigma Aerospace Workforce is recruiting a Fitter Boilermaker in Melbourne to support the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment (GSE) in an airport environment. The work covers fault finding, mechanical repairs, fabrication, welding and preventative maintenance on mobile and fixed equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, ground power units and air start units. It is a hands-on role suited to candidates with strong heavy equipment or mobile plant experience, ideally in aviation or transport.

Key responsibilities

• Fault finding and mechanical repairs on GSE equipment
• Fabrication and welding work
• Preventative maintenance across a range of mobile and fixed equipment

Required profile

• Experience in heavy equipment, mobile plant, transport, mining or GSE maintenance
• Relevant trade qualification as Fitter / Boilermaker (essential)
• Full Australian working rights (mandatory)
• Safety-focused, reliable, team-oriented with a strong work ethic
