Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will provide strategic and operational support to the Head of Finance for Trapeze Group ANZ, leading a small finance team and ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and continuous improvement across finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all finance functions for Trapeze Group ANZ and other business units, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly business unit reports, including tax packs, financial analysis, balance‑sheet and income‑statement analytics, and variance analysis against budget.
• Manage cash flow, forecasts, intercompany charges, fixed‑asset accounting, and act as bank signing authority in Australia.
• Lead payroll processes, statutory filings (PAYG, superannuation, BAS, FBT) and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Maintain audit readiness, coordinate internal and external audits, and continuously improve finance controls and automation.

Required profile

• CPA qualification or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams in a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience handling FX and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, growth‑focused business.
