Family Office Tax Specialist Manager

About the role

As a Manager in PwC Australia's Private Tax Family Office team, you will provide tailored tax advisory, compliance and estate‑planning services to high‑net‑worth individuals, families and privately owned businesses. You will work across a broad range of Australian industries, helping clients protect and grow their wealth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex tax matters such as restructures, capital gains tax, Division 7A and trust losses.
• Deliver comprehensive tax compliance, planning and advisory services for trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals.
• Provide family advisory services, including succession and estate planning.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on Top 500 and Next 5000 programmes, ensuring compliance and proactive issue resolution.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the Private Tax specialist team.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in private wealth and family‑office tax structures.
• Proven experience managing high‑value client portfolios and building trusted relationships.
• Leadership capability to develop junior staff and support team growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including interaction with regulatory bodies.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Australian tax law, including Division 7A, capital gains tax and trust taxation.
• Experience with tax compliance and advisory for trusts, companies and partnerships.
• Ability to liaise effectively with the Australian Taxation Office.
