External Auditor

About the role

PwC Australia is seeking experienced External Auditors to join its national network of offices. In this role you will help clients improve financial performance and operations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform external audits, financial statement assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Analyse complex business issues and develop effective audit strategies.
• Collaborate within a team‑oriented environment to drive innovation and deliver high‑quality audit services.
• Uphold integrity, ethical behaviour, and build trust with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end audits and delivering statutory reports for large private and listed organisations.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to shape audit strategies and methodologies across cross‑functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of internal controls, including assessing, designing, and documenting control environments.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues while fostering effective internal relationships.
