Experienced Modeller - Transport Planning & Advisory

About the role

We are looking for an Experienced Modeller to join our Planning & Advisory team in Sydney. You will develop, calibrate and apply transport models that support smarter mobility solutions and inform decision‑making across a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver transport modelling tasks to industry‑leading technical standards.
• Develop, calibrate and apply transport models using a range of software tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Manage scope, risks and timelines across multiple projects.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports, proposals and presentations for clients, committees and public forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Planning or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transport modelling.
• Proven ability to independently deliver technical tasks on small to medium projects.
• Strong quantitative analysis and data‑handling capabilities.
• Effective project and time‑management skills, with experience managing client relationships.

Required skills

• Transport modelling software: TRIPS, Voyager, EMME, Visum, SATURN, TransCAD.
• Micro‑simulation tools: VISSIM, Paramics, Aimsun.
• Intersection modelling and analysis using SIDRA.
• Solid understanding of transport modelling theory and methodologies.
