Enterprise Architect

About the role

Vault Cloud, the national leader in sovereign cloud services for the Australian Government and critical infrastructure, is seeking an Enterprise Architect to own the “Master Blueprint” of its hyperscale cloud platform. Reporting to the CIO, you will provide strategic architectural leadership and establish a robust governance framework that embeds business principles and regulatory requirements into the product delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Design Authority, ensuring all projects align with the long‑term enterprise vision and sovereign survivability standards.
• Mentor and develop a team of Domain Architects across the technology function.
• Own and maintain the Architectural Services Catalog, auditing the as‑built environment against the Master Blueprint.
• Define technology lifecycles, success metrics and registers that document technical outcomes.
• Establish and mature governance processes, standards and patterns for secure, scalable cloud delivery.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience leading enterprise architecture initiatives, preferably in cloud or hyperscale environments.
