Canva is looking for an Engineering Director to lead its Core IT function, shaping the technology roadmap and delivering a world‑class workforce experience across global campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Set and deliver Canva's IT strategy, translating business priorities into a coherent technology roadmap.
• Lead and develop high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Build a world‑class workforce technology experience, covering onboarding, device management, tools, AI, and automation.
• Establish a culture of measurement, using data to track service quality, prioritize work, and communicate progress to executives.
• Represent IT in organization‑wide forums, advocating for investment and strategic alignment.
• Own high‑priority initiatives and ensure on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading internal technology functions at scale.
• Comfort interacting with executive stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Curiosity about how technology improves work and ability to manage operational complexity.
• Commercial mindset linking technology decisions to business outcomes.
• Strong people leadership, investing in team development.
