Electrical Tradesperson – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join the Alkimos Desalination Plant project in Perth. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a flagship water infrastructure that will begin production in 2028. The role offers long‑term, stable work on a high‑visibility project.

Key responsibilities

• Install and assemble low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) switchboards.
• Terminate power, control and instrumentation cables, and secure cabling in trays, conduits and underground services.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams and schematics.
• Assist with cable pulling, testing, fault finding and quality assurance checks.
• Participate in toolbox talks and adhere to safety procedures on site.

Required profile

• Valid WA Electrical Workers Licence (essential).
• Australian Electrical Trade Qualification and Construction White Card.
• Current Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, First Aid/CPR and EWP licences.
• Experience on major infrastructure, water or industrial projects.
• Strong safety‑first attitude.

Required skills

• LV and HV switchboard installation.
• Cable termination for power, control and instrumentation.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• HV switching and hazardous area (EEHA/Ex) certification.
• Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics.
• Certified Profibus/Profinet installation.
