About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to supervise electrical crews on major renewable energy projects across Australia. This hands‑on leadership role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and specification‑compliant delivery of work on‑site.
Key responsibilities
- Lead pre‑starts, toolbox talks and daily safety conversations.
- Supervise electricians, apprentices and subcontractors.
- Coordinate labour, materials and daily work plans.
- Support construction, commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure works meet safety, quality and project requirements.
- Maintain strong communication between site teams and project leadership.
- Oversee installation of HV/LV cabling systems, solar, BESS and related infrastructure.
Required profile
- Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Experience as a Leading Hand or Senior Electrician.
- Background in renewable energy, HV or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of WHS and site‑based risk management.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Proven leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes of Practice, including GC21 and AS/4000.
- Training in OH&S disciplines and a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
