Document Controller – Project Documentation Management

About the role

ACCIONA is delivering the Prospect Pre‑Treatment Plant Project, a key Sydney Water infrastructure initiative. The Document Controller will ensure that all project documentation is accurately managed, version‑controlled, and readily accessible throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update document registers and numbering schemas.
• Apply consistent version control to all project documents.
• Issue documentation to internal and external stakeholders promptly.
• Manage metadata, permissions, and file structures within Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, procedures, and workflow documentation.
• Provide training and guidance on document management processes.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in document control within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of document control standards and best practices.
• Ability to write clear procedures and work instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Common Data Environment (CDE) systems.
