Director – AI, Cloud & Platform Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Director to lead technical strategy and delivery for our AI‑native consultancy. The role combines deep technical expertise with senior leadership, guiding customers through platform modernisation, software delivery acceleration and enterprise‑scale AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers on software, platform, cloud and AI strategy.
• Lead solution architecture and technical design workshops.
• Design and oversee delivery of enterprise‑scale software and AI solutions.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor across AWS, software engineering and AI transformation.
• Drive technical pre‑sales, solution shaping and opportunity qualification.
• Scope complex programmes, provide realistic estimations and commercial guidance.
• Build strong relationships with the AWS partner ecosystem and customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing and practice leads to produce thought leadership, accelerators, blogs and demos.
• Represent the company publicly at conferences, meet‑ups, podcasts and customer events.
• Recruit, interview and mentor technical talent and contribute to internal engineering standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale enterprise software, cloud and AI transformation programmes.
• Strong leadership and commercial acumen with ability to engage C‑level executives.
• Credibility across engineering communities, customer executive stakeholders and the AWS partner ecosystem.
• Experience balancing pre‑sales, delivery leadership and thought leadership.
