Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator

About the role

We are looking for a Diploma‑qualified Educator to join Uniting Bunyarra Early Learning. You will work 8‑hour shifts, five days a week, within our centre’s operating hours of 7:30 am to 6 pm, providing high‑quality, play‑based education and care for children.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver education and care aligned with the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Develop and implement learning programs that reflect the approved framework and respond to children’s interests, strengths and abilities.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and the community.
• Set up and pack down learning environments, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety.
• Document children’s learning through observations, assessments and learning stories.

Required profile

• Diploma in Children Services (essential).
• Previous experience working at a Diploma level in an early learning service.
• Demonstrated ability to record observations, write learning stories and support curriculum planning using the EYLF.
• Understanding of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and mandatory child protection reporting.
• Effective communication with colleagues, families and community members.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
• Ability to observe, assess and document children’s learning outcomes.
