Cybersecurity Professional Services Consultant

About the role

Thales is seeking a Cybersecurity Professional Services Consultant to deploy and implement data security and protection solutions for enterprise customers across Australia. You will act as a trusted advisor, delivering high‑quality consulting services and technical implementations that safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Customize and configure data security solutions to meet client‑specific requirements.
• Integrate security solutions with existing client infrastructure (cloud, hybrid, on‑prem).
• Design scalable and secure architectures for data security solutions.
• Collaborate with pre‑sales teams to define technical scopes and translate business requirements into technical controls.
• Deliver customer engagements covering HSM, CipherTrust, SafeNet Trusted Access, and PKI.
• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and post‑deployment support to client security and IT teams.
• Create detailed implementation documentation, security plans, and executive‑level reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, professional services, or technical consulting.
• Strong understanding of network and endpoint security fundamentals.
• Experience delivering projects onsite and remotely, managing multiple deadlines.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain a defence security clearance.

Required skills

• Encryption, key management, and hardware security modules (HSM).
• Thales products such as CipherTrust, SafeNet Trusted Access, PKI.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Database administration: Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, DB2, Informix.
• Network and endpoint security fundamentals.
