Cyber Security Architect – Enterprise & Cloud Security

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior Cyber Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑wide security solutions across its Australian operations. The role will work closely with the CISO office, guiding strategy, governance and day‑to‑day security operations while championing sustainable, low‑carbon technology practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve enterprise security architectures based on Zero Trust and Defense‑in‑Depth principles.
• Define security strategy, governance frameworks and ensure alignment with regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR and HIPAA.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation plans and oversee internal security audits and penetration testing.
• Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response and threat‑management activities.
• Manage security tooling including firewalls, IDS/IPS, ISE, Cloudflare, SIEM, vulnerability management, DLP, email & web security, and endpoint protection.
• Direct investigations of security incidents, develop response plans and coordinate with legal, compliance and law‑enforcement agencies.
• Mentor and develop the cybersecurity team, delivering security awareness and training programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in cyber security, with a proven track record in architecture and operations.
• Strong background in enterprise security frameworks, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading SOCs, incident response teams and managing complex security toolsets.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
