About the role
Our client, a leading service provider to the oil & gas sector, is seeking a Cost Controller to join a 12‑month contract in Darwin, NT. The role will support all functional teams, helping them understand cost drivers, validate forecasts and ensure accurate expense classification.
Key responsibilities
- Assist functional teams in identifying cost drivers and validating financial forecasts.
- Prepare and deliver monthly cost and forecast reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Reconcile actual expenditure against budgets to support auditable, reimbursable cost claims.
Required profile
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel (VBA), PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as IFS, SAP or JD Edwards is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, adaptable and capable of critical analysis.
