Consultant - Group Strategy

About the role

We are looking for a Consultant to join Westpac’s Group Strategy team. You will tackle high‑impact, group‑wide strategic questions, turning ambiguous business problems into executive‑ready recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and break down complex, ambiguous business issues across the Group.
• Develop and test hypotheses, build quantitative models and run qualitative analysis.
• Produce clear, structured slide decks and written reports for senior leaders.
• Own defined workstreams within larger strategy projects and contribute to shaping strategic options.
• Collaborate with senior team members to deliver high‑quality decision support.

Required profile

• Approximately 2 years of professional strategy consulting experience, preferably from a top‑tier firm.
• Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and building rapport with business partners.
• Experience creating executive‑level presentations and written materials.
