Construction Manager (Mechanical Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join the leadership team of a well‑established Tier 2 mechanical contractor in Melbourne. The role will oversee the delivery of multiple HVAC/mechanical projects, mentor a team of Project Managers and help shape the future growth of the construction division.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of multiple HVAC/mechanical projects across commercial, healthcare and mixed‑use residential sectors.
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of six Project Managers and their delivery teams.
• Drive commercial, operational and programme performance to ensure projects are safe, on time and within budget.
• Manage key client and stakeholder relationships.
• Plan resources and oversee project team structures.
• Participate in recruitment, hiring and performance management as the business expands.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and business development.

Required profile

• Strong background in the mechanical contracting industry.
• Proven experience delivering HVAC/mechanical projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Commercially minded with strong client‑facing abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and project demands simultaneously.
• Current Construction Managers or senior Project Managers looking to step up.
